This site is about Music. I play in a band and several smaller ensembles.
The Musikon Band
Our band is open to youth and seniors alike. We have been playing together for three years and I have been photographing our members and making recordings of our performances on mini-disk. I upload the mini-disk recording to a wave editor, create tracks and burn to CD's.

I also take a digital camera with me and get a friend or someone in the audience to take shots of us. I upload these to the computer, place on the web for members of our band and any interested other's may view these.

I play with the clarinets. We have five clarinets in our band, the same number of flutes, one French horn, four trombones, a tuba, a euphonium, four saxaphones, two trumpets and drums.

We have a varied repertoire consisting of some classical music arranged for band such as:
Dvorak Slavonik Dances, Brahms Hungarian dances, Ballet Music from "Prince Igor", a Mozart Festival, a Bach Suite and Bach Chorales, Bernstein's West Side Story, a Gershwin medley and "An American in Paris". There are lighter classics - such as "La Cumparsita" and "Syncopated clock"
We also play typical band music such as a Sousa March, Tijuana Taxi and Costa Brava.
We play arrangements of Popular and Jazz music - such as a Medley of the Beatles and a Medley of Elvis and Big Band classics including "Tuxedo Junction" and "In the Mood". Besides all these we also play arrangements of popular folk songs to fit various festive or solemn occasions - including "HaReut", "Makhar" and "Arzenu HaK'tantonet".
